In a truck accident on Wednesday, a man was cut from his totaled pickup truck after crashing with a church bus. Police say he is still in critical condition. In the meantime 12 passengers of the bus and the bus driver were all taken to Mobile Infirmary for minor injuries in the crash.

The man was transported by LifeFlight-Mobile helicopter to the University of South Alabama Medical Center for life threatening injuries. He was driving a 2002 Chevy pickup truck east on U.S. 90 when he crashed with a Church bus that was crossing U.S. 90 to Demetropolis Road.

Reports indicate he rand the red light at the intersection, striking the bus. The pick up truck was totaled and the bus has extensive front-end damage. The man did have his seat belt on.

The buss passengers were treated and released. Most of the injuries suffered were minor, with one suffering many broken bones. Investigators are waiting on toxicology reports to find out if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
