Saturday afternoon, a Cullman resident was killed when he was hit by a car.A University of Alabama spokesperson said campus police got a call at 6:19pm regarding a pedestrian who had been struck by a car in front of the coliseum.The man was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center where he later died.The driver was at the scene, speaking with the police and the investigation is still ongoing.

A person was injured in the third train verse car accident. The driver tried to outrun a train, police said.The train hit the car from behind, pushing it to the roadside. The driver was taken to the hospital but he his injuries were not serious or life threatening.
